Weeds!

If you like to smoke weed, then the hit show on Showtime is where you need to be.  I just recently started watchin' weeds, you know, since it was 4/20 this past weekend i mind as well, right?  So my friend has Season 1 and Season 2 and lets just say, i need to buy Season 3.  I'm addicted and didn't know it.  When someone comes up with a great story line with a a rich white suburban woman in Agrestic, California, selling weed and gettin her hustle& flow on, there is no wonder i am attached to the television screen like i was addicted to weed my damn self.  Well much to my liking, one of the Olson's is on the show and it is going to make it even better.  Let's just say, the story line is unheard of and i am lovin it.

Kate Nash

i am lovin the UK lately. From Estelle to Kate Nash to Lily Allan, the UK is droppin some hott artists that i just cannot resist. I went to see Kate Nash, my treat with my bestests, we saw Kate do the damn thing at the 9:30 club. All i can say is, i lost my voice and my feet were sore. She is just amazing and i am loving here more and more.

The New It Girl!

She's black, from London, & most importantly, she is signed with Kanye and John Legend.  Who am i talkin about you may ask? None other than Estelle. She is the new voice that we have all been looking forward too, and she had the opportunity to grace D.C. with her presence during her performance at the Zanzibar.  Unfortunately, i was not able to attend, but my friend said one word: AMAZING.  Next time, i will be front and center to listen to the sultry voice of hers.

They Say I'm Hopeless...

...like a penny with a whole in it. Damn, was i reminiscin', thinkin about Love Jones! I'm kickin it right now watching it, while my clothes are in the washer and dryer....You can't knock a good movie w/ Nia Long and Larenz Tate!  This song just sets the mode and brings you back to the good ole' days.

Chanel Iman

Naomi Campbell better watch her back. The new "IT" models have exploded to the scene and there is only one name that sticks in everyone's mind: Chanel Iman. Half Korean and Half Black, who would have thought a combination like that would develop a stunning figure like Chanel. She has graced the catwalks of Versace, Valentino, Gucci, Michael Kors, and all the top designers. Her tall statute, long legs, and flawless skin catches the eyes of EVERYONE. She is the new black model that i have been waiting for.  Everything she puts on looks fly to the third degree.  Watch out, cause Chanel Iman is here and about to take the catwalk by storm. FIERCE!

MS. Jackson if your nasty. But these days, she only goes by her first name: Janet. Now Janet has been in the public's eye ever since she was a little girl. Hangin with the rest of her family, she developed a sense of identity that enabled her to stand out from the rest of the Jacksons. She gave a glimpse of what is to come of her career on Good Times as Penny and began to evolve as a young lady. Her career would take plight when she would soon fire her father as her manager and her album Control would emerge as her biggest success. From Nasty, to the Pleasure Principle, Janet- Ms. Jackson is you're nasty- bloomed into an international Icon. My favorite album being the Velvet Rope, and probably her most underrated album, with underlining messages within each song such as: What About, Anytime, Anyplace, Together Again, and Go Deep, Janet expressed a side of herself that no one knew existed. Janet has revolutionized dance, along with Madonna, but its Janet we thank for her ability to deliver time after time. Even though there have been some mishaps, the Super Bowl being one of them, Janet has delivered on her latest album: Discipline. Going back to her roots, she has created an album worth listening to. Feedback, Rock With U, and LUV are FIRE and i am lovin Janet right now. A tour in the works? I think so, and i will sure be there singing every song.
